10/23/12 Pop Culture Happy Hour
So based on yesterday's blog about television, today we are segueing to movies, another common free- time, escapist activity!
Go to the web site found below and either read or listen to the pod cast. In a brief paragraph react to the podcast/information. What did you learn? What did you like? What didn't you like? Do you now want to go see Affleck's movie Argo? What is you favorite cover song and why?

One off topic thing I learned was that previews at the theatre can go up to 25 minutes! I would have guessed it was only 15-20 minutes tops. I learned about the historical context between Argo and the Iranian Hostage situation. I enjoyed how the review was concise and to the point. I didn't like how they revealed that the "good guys" would win in the end. I would like to see Argo in theaters, because of the positive reviews and suspense. I'm not sure what my favorite song cover is.
ReplyDeletei learned that argo is about true telling of things. set of the hostage times in iran. taken 50 people i wouldnt have though of that many people. i didnt like how when they got out they were more in hostage than when they were real hostage. i would want to see argo just so i can get a better understandment of the movie. im not sure which song to pick.
ReplyDeleteI learned the diffrence from Argo and the Iranian Hostage situation
ReplyDeleteI know that Argo was based on a real declassified story about the Iranian Hostage Crisis. I also heard that Argo got positive reviews from movie critics. If I decided to see Argo, I bet it will be really suspenseful and it will have lots of drama because the people in the movie that are held hostage will have to be very careful and secretive while finding a way out of Iran.
ReplyDeletei learned that aro is based on thighs that are real on iranian and if argo came my way i would peobaly run and dislike them
